The genealogy of Moses and Aaron
Interesting facts according to The Old Testament – The Holy Bible:
- Amram married Jochebed. She was his father’s sister.
- Moses and Aaron also had a sister named Miriam.
- The Divine Name was revealed to Moses:
EXODUS 3.14
God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM.’ He said further, ‘Thus you shall say to the Israelites, “I AM has sent me to you.” ‘EXODUS 3.15
God also said to Moses, ‘Thus you shall say to the Israelites, “The LORD, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you”:
This is my name for ever,
and this is my title for all generations. - Moses was a poor speaker (he was slow of speech and slow of tongue) and Aaron spoke fluently therefore Aaron spoke for Moses to the people; Aaron served as a mouth for Moses and Moses served as God for Aaron. God gave Moses his staff to perform before Pharaoh all the wonders that he has put in his power.
- Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83 years old when they spoke with Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his land. God made Moses like God to Pharaoh, and Aaron was his prophet.

The time that the Israelites had lived in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years.EXODUS 12.41
At the end of four hundred and thirty years, on that very day, all the companies of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.EXODUS 12.42
That was for the LORD a night of vigil, to bring them out of the land of Egypt. That same night is a vigil to be kept for the LORD by all the Israelites throughout their generations.
Abraham’s descendants and the genealogy from Abraham to Levi.
Israel’s twelve tribes are: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Gad, Asher, Joseph, Benjamin, Dan and Naphtali.
If we consider the year Adam was created as YEAR 0, we can then determine these interesting facts according to The Old Testament – The Holy Bible:
- Abraham was born in YEAR 1948, 292 years after The Great Flood.
- Abraham departed from Haran to Canaan when he was 75 years old. 10 years later, Sarah’s egyptian slave girl (Hagar) bore his son Ishmael.
- At 99 years old, Abraham was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. Ishmael was 13 years old.
- When Abraham was 100 years old, Sarah bore his son Isaac.
- Isaac married Rebekah when he was 40 years old. 20 years later, Rebekah bore his twin sons Esau and Jacob.
- Jacob wrestled God and was re-named Israel.
- Tamar bore Judah his twin sons Perez and Zerah. She was the widow of his sons Er and Onan.
- Israel loved Joseph more than his other sons therefore Joseph was hated by his brothers.
- When Joseph was 17 years old, he dreamed of greatness and when he told his brothers, they hated him even more and were jealous of him.
- Joseph’s brothers conspired to kill him but Reuben delivered him out of their hands. They sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver.
- The Ishmaelites took Joseph to Egypt and sold him to Potimhar, the captain of the guard.
- Joseph’s bothers told Israel that a wild animal had devoured Joseph.
- When Joseph was 30 years old, Pharaoh gave him authority over all the land of Egypt as the Lord was with him.
- Pharaoh also gave Joseph the name Zaphenath-Paneah.
- During the seven years of abundance, Joseph stored so much grain in every city that it was beyond mesure.
- Once the seven years of famine began, Joseph’s brothers went down to Egypt to buy grain as the famine had reached the land of Canaan.
- After Judah pleaded for Benjamin’s release, Joseph revealed himself to his brothers.
- GENESIS 45.4
Then Joseph said to his brothers, ‘Come closer to me.’ And they came closer. He said, ‘I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt.GENESIS 45.5
And now do not be distressed, or angry with yourselves, because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.GENESIS 45.6
For the famine has been in the land these two years; and there are five more years in which there will be neither ploughing nor harvest.GENESIS 45.7
God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors.GENESIS 45.8
So it was not you who sent me here, but God; he has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt.GENESIS 45.9

You shall settle in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children’s children, as well as your flocks, your herds, and all that you have. - During the 7 years of famine Israel left Canaan for Goshen in the land of Rameses. He was 130 years old.
- Joseph lived for 110 years and died in Egypt.
Genealogy from Noah to Abraham.
If we consider the year Adam was created as YEAR 0, we can then determine these interesting facts according to The Old Testament – The Holy Bible:
- After The Great Flood, the whole earth had one language and were one people and they began building themselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens. God then confused their language and scattered them over the face of all the earth as he realized that nothing that mortals proposed to do would be impossible for them to accomplish.
- The Tower of Babel was built by Noah’s descendants.
- God decided to reduce the lifespan of mankind to 120 years.
- Eber outlived his offspring past the 7th generation.
- Abram was born in YEAR 1948, 292 years after The Great Flood.
- In YEAR 2047, Abram walked before GOD and was re-named Abraham, he was 99 years old. God made a covenant with Abraham and his offspring after him. The sign of their covenant was the circumcision of the flesh of their foreskins. Throughout Abraham’s generations, every male among him was circumcised when he was 8 days old.
- Abraham died in YEAR 2123, he was 175 years old.
Genealogy from Adam to Noah.
If we consider the year Adam was created as YEAR 0, we can then determine these interesting facts according to The Old Testament – The Holy Bible:
- Adam had a son when he was 130 years old. He named him Seth.
- Adam died in YEAR 930, he was 930 years old.
- Noah was born in YEAR 1056.
- After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth.
- The Great Flood took place in YEAR 1656, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month. Noah was 600 years old.
- From The Great Flood, GOD only spared Noah, his sons, his wife, his sons’ wives and of all flesh, two of every kind, of every living thing, male and female.
- Noah’s father Lamech died in YEAR 1651, 5 years before The Great Flood. He was 777 years old.
- Noah’s grand-father Methuselah died in The Great Flood, he was 969 years old.
- The Earth was dry in YEAR 1657, in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month.
- Noah died in YEAR 2006, he was 950 years old.
